dataMate Products developed the Copper SFP Passive Transceiver Adapter to provide an alternative to hard-wired patch cords operating at data rates of 1 Gbps. SFP patch cords need to be ordered and inventoried at specific lengths but with the use of the Copper SFP Passive Transceiver Adapter, the end user or installer only needs to carry individual adapters and crimp RJ45 connectors to a spool of cable. The end user or installer can alter cable length on site (up to a length of 4 meters) eliminating the need to carry numerous cables of varying sizes.
