dataMate Products developed the 20 pin SFP connector to handle data rates of 10 Gbps on both SFP and SFP+ applications. It is compatible with the MSA standard and comes with plating options of 15 or 30 micro inches of gold. The 20 pin connector can be used for connections to either optical or copper SFP and SFP+ transceivers in Gigabit Ethernet or Fibre Channel platforms.
